Meet Your Hosts
Mikayla
Planted Prayer Garden CO.
For years, I thought I simply needed to grow a better garden.
I bought the plants, watched countless tutorials, and started over more times than I can count. Along the way, I realized gardening wasn't just about growing beautiful plants—it was about creating space to slow down, reconnect, and find joy in the process.
That realization inspired me to found Planted Prayer Garden Co., where I create thoughtfully curated experiences that help people discover the connection between gardening, wellness, and community.
Today, I combine my love for hospitality, education, and gardening to make growing your own food feel approachable, beautiful, and genuinely enjoyable—whether you've never touched a trowel before or you've been tending a garden for years.
My hope is that you leave this experience with more than a thriving herb planter. I hope you leave with the confidence to keep growing, the inspiration to bring fresh ingredients into your kitchen, and memories you'll carry long after the last bite.
I can't wait to garden with you.

Cookilicious
For as long as I can remember, the kitchen has been where I felt most at home.
Growing up in India, I watched family recipes come to life through simple ingredients, fresh produce, and generations of shared traditions. Those moments taught me that good food isn't about perfection—it's about bringing people together, celebrating the seasons, and creating memories around the table.
As I built Cookilicious, I realized that cooking with fresh ingredients can feel intimidating for many people. I've met countless home cooks who want to eat more vegetables, use fresh herbs, or embrace a more plant-forward lifestyle but aren't sure where to begin. That's what inspires the work I do every day.
Since then, I've had the privilege of authoring The Essential Vegan Indian Cookbook and recently competing on Food Network's 100 Cooks, where I won the Sunday Breakfast Challenge. But my greatest joy is still helping everyday home cooks discover that plant-forward cooking can be simple, vibrant, and full of flavor.
I'm so excited to be partnering with Mikayla because there's something truly special about cooking with ingredients you've grown yourself. When you harvest fresh herbs or vegetables and turn them into a delicious meal, you experience the full journey—from garden to table.
My hope is that you leave this workshop with more than a handful of recipes. I hope you leave with the confidence to cook seasonally, make the most of everything you grow, and create meals that bring people together around your table.
I can't wait to cook with you.

THANK YOU
TO OUR PARTNERS
This experience wouldn't be possible without the generosity and collaboration of our incredible partners. Thank you for sharing your time, talents, and resources to help us create a meaningful day of connection, nourishment, and growth. We are truly grateful for your support and the role you've played in bringing Planted & Plated to life.
Planted & Plated was created with one simple belief:
The best meals begin long before they reach the table.
There's something deeply satisfying about harvesting fresh herbs you've grown yourself and transforming them into a meal shared with others. Yet for many people, gardening and cooking can feel intimidating, leaving them unsure where to begin.
We wanted to change that.
For one memorable morning, we invite you to experience the journey
from soil to skillet.
Together, we'll plant a thriving culinary herb garden, learn practical tips for growing fresh herbs at home, and watch them come to life during a live cooking demonstration led by local cookbook author Priya from Cookilicious. Along the way, you'll enjoy thoughtful hospitality, delicious flavors, and meaningful conversation around the table.
Whether you're an experienced home cook, a curious beginner, or someone who's simply looking for a unique way to spend the morning, you'll be welcomed exactly as you are.
Our hope is that you leave with more than a beautiful herb planter.
We hope you leave with the confidence to grow your own ingredients, fresh inspiration for your kitchen, and a deeper appreciation for the journey that brings food from the garden to your table.
Because sometimes the most meaningful experiences aren't just about sharing a meal—they're about growing part of it yourself.
We can't wait to welcome you to Planted & Plated!
